Film Processing
C-41 Color Negatives
We process color film 7 days a week. You have a choice of develop only, develop and print, develop and scan, or develop, print and scan. Our standard is to cut the film into 4 frames. You can request to have your film uncut. 120/220 film is always sleeved. We also sell negative binder sheets. Depending on our volume, film developing is usually done within 1-2 days.
Black and White Film
Montclair Photo processes BW film in-house. We can push/pull the BW film developing.
E-6 Slide Film
E6 Slides, also known as transparency or positive film, are processed in-house within couple days. We run our slide machine 3 or 4 times a week.
Disposable Cameras
Most disposable cameras have regular color film. These we can process in-house.
Advantix Film
Advantix, also known as APS film, takes much longer to develop. These films come in little plastic canisters. We will reload the processed film back into the canister. This film has numbers on the side to let you know which stage the film is at. 1. new roll, 2. partially used, 3. film was used and it's ready to develop, 4. the film has been developed. The numbers can easily be changed so to make sure the film was developed the little tab next to the numbers will be punched in by the photo lab after developing.

Montclair Photo still processes 35mm, APS, 110, 126, 120/220 film and disposable cameras in-house. We can develop C-41 color negatives, Black and White film, and E-6 Slides. You will get your negatives back at time of pickup. We will save your negatives for 30 days so please pick up negatives within a month. We have been processing film since 1979. We are one of the oldest photo labs in the Bay Area.
Film Developing
Develop and Print
We are still an old-school wet lab. We print your photos with chemically processed photo paper. We only charge for the prints we print. We do not print pictures that are blurred, very under or over exposed, or prints that look like they were shot to waste the roll. If you do want all your prints printed please let us know at time of drop off. Your choice of glossy or matte finishing.
Reprints and Enlargements
Reprints and enlargements are a great way to share the joy of your memories with family and friends. With our enlargements we offer all the popular sizes and can even create custom sizes. Cropping is available as well. If you want to color match your original, there are limitaions because the negatives or original print has aged. We do charge for trying to color match because extra prints and color version will need to be printed.

Montclair Photo can digitize any type of film including odd size film. We offer two levels of scanning. Standard and High Resolution. With our standard scan the resolution is about 2000x3000 pixels which gets you about 5mb file. Our high resolution scanning is 4184x6415 pixels creating a 20mb jpg or 60mb Tiff file.
We can burn your images onto a CD, copy them to a flash drive, or transfer them online.

Merchandise and Displaying
Drop Off: Use any envelope or bag to write up your order. With your order (or on the bag) write your name, phone number and email address. To receive your scans as soon as they are scanned, please pre-pay for the develop and scan orders using the blue button or pay in-store when you drop off. If you are getting prints, you must pay in-store at pickup.
